STRATFORD- It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of William King Phillips Jr., age 87, of Stratford, shares the news of his passing on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Waterbury Hospital.

William was born on July 15, 1938, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the beloved son of the late William K. Phillips Sr., and Eva (Horton) Phillips. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, exemplifying a spirit of dedication and commitment that he carried throughout his life. He created his own business, Charter Bus Company and Phillips Sanitation.

William's legacy will live on through the love he shared and the countless lives he impacted.

Left to honor and cherish his memory; are his children, Renee Phillips, Allison Phillips and Mike Phillips, his grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends. He is predeceased by his sister Juanita Phillips.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with the Phillips family on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 12 noon at the State Veterans Cemetery located at 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT., where full military honors will be held.
