William “Billy” McManus Jr, 61, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2022.
William was born on March 20, 1961 in Bridgeport, CT. As a young adult he established himself as a professional painter, a career in which he excelled at for many years. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, swimming, competing in horseshoe competitions, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. His family would always remember his ocean blue eyes, his constant jokes and him being the party of any room he stepped in.
William is survived by his children; Tracy McManus (who he loved to jokingly call meathead), her spouse, Gerald Williams of Waterbury and Kelly Coughlin of Easton. His grandchildren; Shawn McManus, his spouse Shayna Alberto, Reginald Powell Jr, Aleeya Powell, Alexis Owens and Gerald Williams Jr. As well as his great-grandchildren Katresa McManus, Shawn McManus Jr, Croix McManus, Tresean Mitchell Jr and Alivia Mitchell. In addition to his brother David McManus, his spouse Pam McManus and his sister Annmarie McManus.
William was predeceased by his parents William McManus Sr and Carmen McManus, as well as his siblings Peggy Curtis, Virginia Clements and Bobby McManus.
All services will be private at the request of his family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care has been honored to assist the McManus family during this difficult time.
