WATERBURY- It is with heavy hearts that the family of William “Rok” Cardona, age 61, shares the news of the unexpected passing of their beloved father, brother, and uncle on Friday, December 19th 2025 at home.

Willy was born on February 24, 1964, in Ponce, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Virgilio and Rosa (Velazquez) Cardona. William embodied a spirit of warmth, compassion, and creativity that touched the lives of many throughout his journey. William devoted his professional life to the automotive industry as a talented auto body technician. His skilled hands and keen eye for detail, earned him respect and admiration among colleagues and customers alike. He took great pride in his work, not only for the craft but also for the relationships he forged along the way. Outside of his vocation, William was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in reading and immersing himself in the world of video games, but above all, he cherished the moments spent with his beloved family. William's generous heart was a source of comfort and strength to those around him. He will be remembered fondly for his childlike spirit and the love he shared so freely. As we gather to honor William, we reflect on the joy, laughter, and kindness he brought into our lives. His memory will forever live on in our hearts, reminding us to embrace life with the same enthusiasm and love that he exemplified. May he rest in eternal peace.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children, William Aquino, William Santiago, Alex, Matthew, Angel, Eddison, Ismael Cardona and Yvette Cardona. He also leaves his siblings, Virgilio, Emilio (Maribel), Daniel (Ella), Peter (Lillian), Edward (Robyn), Luis, Angel, Wilda (Edgar) Matilde, Maribel (Claude) as well as 11 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and many friends.  He was predeceased by his sister Jannette Cardona.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Cardona will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury.
