WATERBURY – Waverly A. aka “Jew” Robinson , age 67, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, June 22, 2023.
Waverly was born on March 27, 1956 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Charles and Madeline (Alexander) Robinson. He attended local schools and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. Waverly spent many years working at Southbury Training School, but when he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his family who he cherished very much.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memories are his children; Marcus Robinson, Natasha Robinson, Shaun Owens, all of Waterbury, and India Owens-Tilley, of Florida. He also leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his siblings; Roxanne Mason of Virginia, Janice Gladding, Calvin Robinson, and Tyrone Robinson all of Waterbury. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Charles Robinson Jr.
A Memorial Service for Waverly will be held on Friday, June 30th 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Community Tabernacle Church, 12 Hewlett Street, Waterbury.
