Vincent Wilson, 68, of Waterbury, CT, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1957, in Manhattan, NY, to the late Francis and Woodrow Wilson.
After graduating from high school in New York City, Vincent proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He went on to dedicate many years of service at Stony Brook University, Waste Management, and working with individuals with disabilities.
Vincent is survived by his loving wife, Annie Rountree, and a large family who cherished him deeply. He leaves behind his daughters: Farrah Rountree, Sarah Wilson, Shanola Wilson, Nina Wilson, and Gina Wilson; his sons: Vincent Lovett and Artist Rountree; his grandchildren: Vyosha Lovett, Manuel Torres, Amarion Rountree, Aden Alvarez, Ramon Jackson, Vyana Lovett, Vylonah Lovett, Vey’ron Lovett, Kaylee Cameron, Raniyah, Ezra, and Jaylen Wilson; and his great-grandchildren: Wrylie Jackson, Na’Riyah Foster, and Dior Marie Lovett.
He is also survived by his siblings: Loretta (Michael Woods), Diane (Milton Davis), Denise Ringgold, Columbus (Deborah Wilson), and Larry (Linda Wilson). He was preceded in death by his sister Charlotte Walker, and brothers Charlie Wilson, Anthony Wilson, Woodrow Jr. Wilson, and James Curtis Hooks. Vincent also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will continue to honor his memory.
Affectionately known as “Uncle V” in Bellport, NY, Vincent was well loved for his passion for fixing bikes and helping others. He enjoyed caring for dogs, watching wrestling with his family, and most of all, spending time surrounded by his loved ones.
A Memorial Gathering for Mr WIlson will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a repast at 55 Store Avenue, Waterbury, CT.
Vincent’s legacy of love, service, and laughter will live on in all who knew him.
