WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Tracy Bernacchi, age 49 of Waterbury, shares the news of her unexpected passing on Thursday, April 9th, 2026, at Waterbury hospital. She was the widow of Craig Michael Delgado.

Tracy was born February 22, 1977, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Diane Patricia (Mahoney) Bernacchi. A lifelong Waterbury resident she attended local schools becoming certified as a CNA. Tracy’s life was a beautiful testament to love, compassion, and the joy of caring for those around her. As a devoted Certified Nursing Assistant, Tracy had a remarkable gift for nurturing others. Her dedication to her career brought her to various home healthcare agencies, most recently with “Almost Home Health Care,” GT Independence, where her gentle spirit and kind hands brought comfort to countless individuals and their families. Caring for others was not just her profession; it was her calling—one she answered with her whole self, whether as an employee or among those she loved. Tracy had a way of making everyone feel special. She adored spending time with her children, often delighting in shopping trips where she happily indulged them. Baking, putting together intricate puzzles, nurturing her beloved house plants, and enjoying lively games of bingo with friends were some of the simple pleasures that filled her life with joy. Tracy's vibrant spirit and generous heart will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children: Deajon Bernacchi and his wife Karina, Eric Delgado, and Kaira Tataranowicz and her husband Lamaine Johnson, all of Waterbury. She is also survived by her sister Deborah Bernacchi, 6 grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members, and many friends

A Memorial Gathering for Mrs. Bernacchi will be held on Friday, April 17th, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
