Waterbury

WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Tom J. Sirois, age 83, of Waterbury, share the news of his unexpected passing, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in the comfort of his home.

Tom was born in Rivière-Bleue in the Province of Quebec, Canada on December 2, 1941, the son of the late Wilfrid Sirois and Cordelia (Nadeau) Sirois. Tom's life was a testament to hard work and dedication. He began his career at the age of 14 and eventually moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut, in 1965, where he would call home for many years. He settled in Shelton, where he built a successful drywall company, dedicating 53 years to his craft. Outside of work, Tom was a man of many passions. He had a deep appreciation for old cars and spent countless hours at car shows and he also enjoyed hunting. His commitment to community and service was evident through his long-standing involvement with The Pyramid Shriners in Stratford, where he not only served as a loyal member but also led the Motor Patrol, proudly driving their vehicle in parades throughout the state. Tom's dedication to service extended to his affiliations with the Mason Lodge, the Scottish Rite, and the Knights of Columbus in Shelton. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his loving family. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

Left to honor and cherish his memories are his children, Dean Sirois and his girlfriend Sheila Plavcan of Milford, Kate Doran and her husband Tony of Enfield and his grandchildren, Cameron, Averie and Delaney. He leaves behind several brothers from the Pyramid Shiners in Stratford. He also leaves behind several brothers and sisters in Canada and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Sirois will be held privately at the convenience of his family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT has been honored to care for Tom and his family during this difficult time.
