WATERBURY- Our brother, Thomas “Pete” Wayne Rountree, was unexpectedly called home on
June 21 st , 2022. He was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina on December 20 th , 1961, to Sarah
Dillard and Thomas Gilchrist. He worked more than 15 years as a molder at Alloy Foundries in
Naugatuck, Ct. Thomas is predeceased by his loving mother, Sarah Dillard and his grandparents,
Willie and Bannie Rountree. Thomas leaves behind his father, Thomas Gilchrist, two children,
Marcus Crump and Dominique Rountree, and four grandchildren: Ziohna Crump, Zion Crump,
Zyheir King and Grayson Hogan. He also leaves behind four siblings, Bannie Dillard Spencer,
Juanita Jones, Rodney Dillard, and Ernest Dillard. Thomas will be missed by a host of aunts,
uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly. Thomas loved spending time with
his family, listening to music and watching his favorite shows on tv. Funeral Services will be held on
Monday, June 27, , 2022, from 6-7 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury CT 06705 in Waterbury. A repass will follow
at 1551 Thomaston Ave in Waterbury.
