WATERBURY - Thomas Albert Insero age 93 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on March 6, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital after an extended illness He was the widower of Do Lee Insero.
Thomas was born April 13th 1928 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Alfred and Victoria (Monkevich) Insero. Thomas proudly served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army, twice, between 1950 and 1958 during the Korean War. He spent 30 years working for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft as an airplane mechanic and machinist before his retirement. Thomas was a loving family man, helping to raise his three grandchildren and he loved gardening and hiking.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his son, Mark Insero of Waterbury and his partner Debbie Thibodeau, his grandsons; Jonathan Insero of Waterbury, Mitchell Insero and his wife, Shannon of Glastonbury, and Randall Insero and his wife, Lauren of Glastonbury. He also leaves three great-grandchildren; Jake Insero, Mackenzie Insero, and Ethan Insero. He was predeceased by 10 other siblings and all of their spouses.
Funeral services for Mr. Insero will be held on Thursday, March 10th 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial with full military honors will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with the Insero family on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. We continue to remain very concerned about the ongoing pandemic so masks will be required during all indoor services regardless of your current vaccination status.
