Therese Panadis

WATERBURY- Therese Mary (Potvin) Panadis passed away at Saint Mary’s Hospital on May 5, 2020 due to complications from COVID. She was the beloved wife of Paul Panadis.

Therese was born in Quebec City, Canada, on September 14, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Boucher) Baptiste Potvin. She attended local schools and was a lifelong homemaker always taking care of her children and family. An avid baseball fan, Therese was a lifelong supporter of the Boston Red Sox and could often be found cheering for her favorite team. Her faith was an essential part of her life, as a devoted Catholic who regularly attended services at St. Anne’s Church and the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church. Therese took great joy in caring for her grandchildren, nurturing them with love, wisdom, and laughter. She also had a soft spot and fed every stray cat in the neighborhood.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her children; Paul J. Panadis, Michelle Panadis, and Lise Panadis, her grandchildren; Amanda (Edward) Schreiner, Taylor Wagner, and Emily Wagner. Her great grandson Eddie, along with extended family and friends.

Services were private and held during the COVID epidemic. Therese was laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
