WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness that the family of Rosalia Duran, age 77, of Waterbury, share the news of her peaceful passing on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in the comfort of her home surrounded by the love and comfort of her family..

Rosalia was born on February 3, 1948 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Carlos and Maria (Perales) Duran. She was raised in Puerto Rico and eventually moved to the United States when she was 20 years old, she lived in New York and Massachusetts where she had raised her family. She moved to Waterbury when she was 65 years old. She was a wonderful mother and as a devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into providing for her family. She loved angels, knitting, crafting, music, watching Spanish soap operas, loved her 3 cats: Oreo, Blue Eyes and Nana. She loved nothing more than spending time with her loving family. She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Left to cherish and honor her memory are her children; Antonio Lopez and his wife, Kristy of Denver, North Carolina, Carlos Lopez and his wife Margaret of Holyoke, MA, Rosalia Brantley and her husband, Steven of Wilson, NC and Felix Martinez and his wife, Christina of Waterbury. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.

All services for Ms. Duran will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
