Mr. Robert King

MALVERN PA -It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Robert E. King (86) of Malvern, PA, announce his passing on February 28, 2025, after a short illness.

Bob was born on August 7, 1938, in Waterbury, CT. He was the only child of Harry E. King and Lillian (Gavigan) King. Bob was employed by the City of Waterbury for 25 years as a civil engineer until his retirement in 1987. He then relocated to Sarasota, FL, with his family. He was employed as a civil engineer by the City of North Port, FL, until his retirement in 2001. Bob was a lifetime member of the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers. Bob loved riding his motorcycle, going to the beach, and spending the summers camping at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Connecticut with family and friends. Bob had a big heart when it came to family and friends and for those less fortunate than he. He was quick to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Marcoux) King; daughter Mary (King) Vogt and husband Mark Vogt; son David Monnerat and wife Kerri (Vickers) Monnerat; and predeceased by his daughter Denise (Monnerat) Harris. He is also survived by his grandson, Robin Vogt and wife Shaelyn (Frost) Vogt; granddaughter, Mary Vogt; granddaughter, Caitlyn Harris; grandson, Mitchell Monnerat; and several nieces and nephews. Bob was very excited to learn he would be a great-grandfather.

Mr King will be interred in the family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury. CT. Services will be private.
