Beloved mother grandmother and great grandmother


WATERBURY -Rita T. LeBlanc age 93, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 19,2022 at Beacon Brook Health Care Center in Naugatuck after an extended illness. She was the widow of Roland LeBlanc.

Rita was born October 3rd 1928 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Albert and Georgianna (Cloutier) Forest. She was one of 4 daughters and Rita always looked forward to her Friday outings with her sisters for lunch and shopping. Family was everything to Rita and she was always happiest spending time with them, simply sitting in the back yard watching the kids play and swim or just gathering with her children, granddaughter, great grandchildren and sisters for a picnic. Before becoming a great grandmother, Rita had spent time volunteering at Saint Mary's Hospital employee day care and she was a longtime parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Church.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, is her daughter, Laura Manzi and her husband, Richard of Waterbury, her granddaughter, Melissa Finkenzeller and her husband, Brian and their two children; Christina and Timothy. She was predeceased by her son, Ronald LeBlanc and her sisters; Jeanette Finelli,, Irene Belval, and Cecile Sileo.

The LeBlanc and Manzi families would like to thank and acknowledged Dee Dee and Diane from Hospice and her care givers at Beacon Brook Health Care especially Crystal for all the love, care and support they provided to Rita and her family during her stay.

Funeral services for Mrs. LeBlanc will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial. All those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery Watertown. There are no calling hours.
