Loving Wife & Devoted Friend
WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rhoda Gail Hagberg, age 84, of Waterbury, on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, at the Autumn Lakes Health Care Center in Waterbury after an extended illness. She was the wife of Roger Hagberg for 47 years and it was a match made in heaven.
Gail was born August 25th, 1940, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Mary Donavon. She worked as a medical technologist at Waterbury Hospital for over 25 years and then for an additional 10 years at Southbury Training School. Gail loved to travel, especially to Cape Cod, where she enjoyed spending time with her husband. She talked very fondly about her trip to Israel and how it had touched her spiritually. Other trips she enjoyed with her husband and friends were to Europe and cruises to the Caribbean. Gail was funny, kind and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her generosity, laughter and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her.
Gail is survived by her devoted husband, Roger Hagberg, and several close friends.
