December 19, 1956 – December 19, 2025
WATERBURY- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Raymond Edward Lush Sr., age 69, of Waterbury, shares the news of his peaceful passing at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Bucks Hill, surrounded by his loving family, on December 19th, 2025.
Raymond was born on December 19, 1956, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Robert E.Sr, and Maureen (Crimmins) Lush. He attended local schools and then worked as a Marshall for many years with the State of Connecticut and later became Captain at Meriden Superior Court. He was known to his friends as “Sugar Ray” and his CB handle was “Iron Man”. Outside of his professional life, Raymond had a passion for life that was reflected in his many hobbies and interests. He was an avid enthusiast of CB radios, often finding joy in the conversations and connections he made. Riding his beloved Harley motorcycle brought him exhilaration and a sense of freedom, often accompanied by memories of happy times on the open road. He cherished moments spent in his yard, cultivating a personal oasis where he could relax and enjoy nature. A true animal lover, Raymond shared his home with his beloved dog, Poochie, and his feathered friend, Max the bird. He was a devoted father, a protector of his family, and a man who loved everyone. He will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
PROVERBS 28:1 “THE WICKED FLEE WHEN NO MAN PURSUETH, BUT THE RIGHTEOUS ARE BOLD AS A LION.”

He leaves his beloved grandchildren, Brittany Balek, Brionna Balek, and Brayden Marrero. Ray also leaves his siblings, Robert Lush, Edward Lush, Gary Lush, Kathy Lush, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Besides his parents, Ray was predeceased by his sister Deborah.
