Mr. Raymond W. Lindsay

April 13, 1960 — May 23, 2023

Devoted husband, father and brother

TERRYVILLE – Raymond W. Lindsay age 63 passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Lynn (Angell) Lindsay.

Raymond was born on April 13, 1960 in Waterbury, the son of the late Wilson and Mary (Dowling) Lindsay. He was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School. He worked for many years as a Maintenance Mechanic at Erickson Metals in Cheshire and most recently at Combined Metals of Chicago in Bristol. What was most important to Ray were his family and friends, he would always help whether that was offering himself as a handyman or finding lost items. He was a longtime member of the Waterbury 8-Ball League, as well as the Lamplighter chapter of CT Family Campers and RVers (CT FCRV), with whom he spent many weekends camping. He enjoyed numerous hobbies; he loved to solve puzzles and always took time to complete the Sudoku in the newspaper, he was an avid follower of the UConn women’s basketball team and he and his wife were aiming to take a hike in every state park in CT. His life was a blessing, his memory we will treasure. He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memories besides his wife Lynn are his children; Samuel and Hannah both of Terryville, and his siblings; Tim Lindsay and his wife Robin of Wolcott, Ken Lindsay and his wife AnnaMarie of Jensen Beach FL, Terry Lindsay and his wife, Anne of Wolcott and Colleen Lindsay of Wolcott. He also leaves his sister-in-law Sandy Fitzsimons and her husband Mark of Wolcott and brother-in-law Ed Angell of Waterbury as well as several nieces and nephews.
