WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Ms. Phyllis C. (Sorriero, Dell’Anno) Jensen, age 65, of Waterbury, shares the news of her unexpected passing on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in the comfort of her home.

Phyllis was born on July 6, 1960, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of Vita (Sorriero) Dell’Anno and the late John Dell’Anno. Phyllis found her greatest joy in caring for her family, always placing their well-being and happiness above all else. With Robert Jensen they opened their home to his siblings Roger, Debbie, Roy, Randall and Karen. She spent many years serving others as a secretary at St. Mary's Hospital, where her gentle and compassionate nature was felt by all who knew her. She later continued her working years at Walmart in Naugatuck, remaining devoted to helping others in her community. Phyllis also had a special place in her heart for animals, opening her home to many beloved pets over the years. She took great comfort in their companionship. And in the simple, joyful moments of life, few things made her happier than her love of food, The absolute way to her heart.

Left to honor and cherish her memory besides her beloved mother, Vita (Sorriero) Dell’Anno, her children, Melissa Roy (Don), Michelle Tolmoff (Ron) her grandchildren, Hunter, Zaiden, and Olivia, her siblings; John Dell’Anno (Claudia) and Tina Dvilinskas, her nieces and nephews; Sarah, Stephen, Bethany, Kristina, Stephanie, and John, and her favorite uncle, Steve “Gus” Sorriero. Phyllis also leaves behind her cherished great-nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends especially Tiffany Gerety who she loved like a daughter. Phyllis was predeceased by her father, John Dell’Anno, as well as her grandparents, Phyllis and Stephen Sorriero and great-grandmother Sarah Sorriero.

Funeral services for Ms. Jensen will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
