WATERBURY – Philip L. Hardt Jr., age 58 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at Saint Mary’s Hospital on Tuesday March 14, 2023, after a brief illness.

Phil was born May 23, 1964, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Philip Sr. and Virginia (Hart) Hardt. He was raised in Oakville and educated in local schools. He spent several years working at the Southbury Training School before doing construction work. Most recently, over the past year, he was serving as a care giver for his aunt. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed following the NY Giants and Miami Dolphins. Phil had a huge heart, he had a compassion for people and animals, specifically his beloved late dog, Lucky.
