Beloved Son Grandson, Father and Friend
OAKVILLE - Peter R. Maltese, age 31, of Oakville, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
Peter was born September 10,1991, in Salem, MA, the son of Peter C. Maltese. He graduated from Watertown High School and attended the Porter and Chester Institute where he studied automotive mechanics. Peter was a loving father and was always happiest while spending time with his children. If Peter wasn't spending time with his children or helping to care for his grandfather with whom he made his home, he could always be found “puttering” around the house. He enjoyed taking things apart and fixing gadgets of all types.
Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy are his three children; Carter and Brayden Maltese, of Watertown, and Payton Maltese, of Waterbury. He also leaves his father, Peter C. Maltese and his wife Chris of FL; his paternal grandparents with whom he made his home, Vincent and Marianne Maltese of Oakville; his brother, Christopher Maltese of Waterbury, his uncle, Vincent Maltese III of Winter Haven FL, his great uncle, Richard C. Straiton and his wife, Sharon of Bethel and his great aunt, Debbie Curtiss and her husband Robert of Meriden, His great uncle John Maltese and his wife Sherry of Glastonbury Ct. as well as several cousins, extended family members, and many friends.
A Memorial Gathering for Peter will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home 742 Main Street, Oakville, CT 06779.
