WOLCOTT- It is with profound sadness that the family of Peter "Pete" M. Favale, age 81, of Wolcott, shares the news
of his peaceful passing in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love and care of his family, on Thursday,December 4th, 2025. He was the husband of Edna (Sherman) Favale.
Peter was born on May 29, 1944, in Waterbury, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Cilfone) Favale. Peter lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. He proudly served his country as a medic in the Connecticut National Guard, a testament to his caring spirit and dedication to helping others. He spent an impressive 38 years as a heavy equipment operator and supervisor for the former Connecticut Light and Power(CL&P), where he was respected for his skill and strong work ethic. Beyond his career, Peter embraced life with enthusiasm. He found joy in the great outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or attending car cruises across the state. A true cowboy at heart, he loved winding down with old cowboy and western movies.Peter’s greatest pride and joy came from being a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was his world and he lived a life as bold and vibrant as his spirit and He leaves behind a legacy of love adventure and unforgettable memories. In honoring Peter’s memory, let us remember the laughter, love, and the indelible mark he left on our hearts. Rest easy, now Pete, you will be greatly missed but never forgotten
.Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory besides his wife of 52 years, Edna, are his son, James Briglia and his wife Diane of South Carolina, his granddaughter, Ashley Keith, and his great-grandson, Alton Keith. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and many friends. Peter was predeceased by his siblings; Joseph Favale and Rosemary Solury.
Funeral services for Peter will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St., Waterbury, CT Relatives and friends may pay their respects and visit with his family from 10:00 a.m. until the service begins at 11:00. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery.
