WATERBURY - Paulo M. Tavares, age 45 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 21, 2023.
Paulo was born June 21st, 1978, in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, the son of Paulo M and Elenir (Dasilva) Tavares [OF WATERBURY]. He moved to the U.S. in 1980 and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School and furthered his studies at Coastal Carolina University. Paulo worked as a painting contractor for various companies throughout the Waterbury area was an avid soccer fan and enjoyed playing video games. He was a long-time parishioner of Saint Francis Xavier Church.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his parents, he leaves his brother, Steven Tavares and his wife Theresa and their daughter Sylvia of Cheshire as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family members and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Tavares will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. from the Casey Eastside Memorial Funeral home to St Francis Xavier Church, 625 Baldwin St Waterbury, to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Paulo’s family on Saturday morning from 9:00 am until leaving for the services at 10:30 am at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury.
