“Devoted to her family”
WATERTOWN - Pauline (Vaillancourt) Clark, age 91, of Watertown, passed away peacefully at Apple Rehabilitation, on Monday, September 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of John J. Clark Jr.
Pauline was born on November 16, 1932 in Eagle Lake, Maine. She moved with her family to Watertown in her early years of life. Pauline worked as an assembler for various factories while she raised her 3 children. She had an opportunity to go back to school, then worked as a pastry chef as well, making delicious cookies and cakes. Pauline volunteered in the schools which her children attended along with assisting in Girl Scouts. In her spare time, she loved to travel, was an avid bowler, enjoyed a game of bingo and of course creating various crafts. Our family thanks you Mom for all your hard work and efforts of raising 3 wonderful children, giving us the best life possible as you did for many years with the passing of our father when we were teenagers. Pauline will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her 3 children; Diane Lynn Porter and her husband James, John J. Clark III, and his wife Jennifer, and Linda DiVito and her husband Salvatore. Pauline leaves her beloved grandchildren Brian Cloney, Jennifer Hemstreet, Jaime Fillie, Rebecca Peterson, Jessica Orsatti, and Justin Clark, 10 great grandchildren, her Aunt Evelyn, longtime companion, William Zubik, along with extended family and friends.
Pauline’s family would like to thank Waterbury Extended Care Facility, Apple Rehab in Watertown for the compassionate and unwavering care they provided over the years to our mother.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clark will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Disciples Parish, St John the Evangelist Church, 574 Main St Watertown. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. There are no calling hours. The Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville has been honored to care for Pauline and her family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Pauline’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, https://www.alz.org/. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence and share a memory or words of comfort with the family and friends of someone who was important to you.
