Patricia Shannon passed away on May 8, 2024.  She was born and lived most of her life in Queens, NY.  In her later years Pat moved to Arizona before moving to Connecticut.

She loved to dance, play piano, visit the ocean and eat lots of chocolate and ice cream. She survived 16 years after receiving a heart transplant in 2008.  After retiring her passion became volunteering to help others. She worked tirelessly to assist elementary school children improve their reading skills and with the Special Olympics athletes  Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed. As she would explain to us, it was her time to go to heaven.

Her memorial service will be May 18, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial, Waterbury. The family would appreciate donations be made to Dementia Society of America at www.DementiaSociety.org/donate instead of flowers.
