FLORIDA - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Nina (Zaccaria) D’Amico, age 79, share the news of her passing in Florida, surrounded by her loving husband and daughter on Saturday, April 26, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Carlo D’Amico, whom she was married to for 56 wonderful years.
Nina was born on April 17, 1946, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Erico and Vincenza (Peccorella) Zaccaria. What Nina loved the most was being a stay-at-home Mom, and she cherished the time spent raising her children. Family was very important to Nina; she could always be found entertaining and cooking delicious foods such as her famous meatloaf and meatballs. Nina hosted the best parties and her house was the one that everyone hung out at. Nina was an avid reader, always adding new titles to her collection of books. She will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memories besides her loving husband Carlo, are her children; Rosemary D’Amico, Carla (Vincenzo) Iuliano, and David D’Amico.
