Mrs. Mukerem Abaz

WEST HARTFORD- It is with profound sorrow that the family of Mukerem (Nuredin) Abaz, share the news of her peaceful passing at home on July 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 83. She was the widow of Sefki Abaz

Mukerem was born on August 07, 1941 in Bitola, Macedonia to the late Buleman and Edis (Hasan) Nuredin. She embarked on a new chapter of her life when she immigrated with her family to the United States in 1974. Mukerem worked for many years at Lord & Taylor. She found immense joy in gardening, Mukerem's greatest treasure, however, was her family, with whom she delighted in sharing her time and wisdom.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memories are her children, Gonul Abaz, Aynur Abaz, Ergin Abaz, her sister Shefike Kiazim, brother Ajet Nuredin, along with extended family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Abaz will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at 11:00am at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
