Obituary

WATERTOWN- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Mona Lynn Dugan age 61, of Watertown, share the sad news of the unexpected passing of their beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother at Saint Mary’s Hospital on Monday August 31, 2026. She was the wife of David Dugan.

Mona was born on December 1, 1964, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Salvatore and Carol (Cote) Moscariello and was raised in Naugatuck and attended Kaynor Technical School. Those who knew her will remember her vibrant spirit and dedication to her family. Mona devoted much of her life to the restaurant industry, working alongside her beloved husband, David, in the establishments they built and cherished together, including the Upper Deck Steak House in Thomaston and Dugan's Hideaway on Waterville Street. In addition to her work in restaurants, she also served as a nurse's aide at Glendale Health Care Center in Naugatuck, exemplifying her warm and caring nature. Mona took great joy in spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, who were a central part of her life. Whether she was sharing laughter around the dinner table or casting a line in the water while fishing with David, those moments brought her immense happiness. May her memory be a blessing and may she now know everlasting peace with her Lord and Savior.

Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory besides her husband of 26 years, David are her children; Jessica Estrada, Roddy Bologh Jr and his partner Angela, Andrew Bologh and his partner Michelle, as well as her step children, Kerryann Ratzlaff, Jeniffer Dugan, and David Dugan II. She also leaves her sisters; Kim Moscariello, Debbie Blair, Jody Mack-Moscariello, Jolene Cote-Guillemette, her sisters and brothers in-law; Barbara Danisevich, James Dugan, Ruth Mielkey, Edward Dugan, and Alan Dugan. Mona and David were blessed with her beloved grandchildren Joshua, Jayden, Angelena, Alexia, Maryjayne, Rowan, Bryce and they were looking forward to the birth of another grandson soon, in addition to several nieces, nephews other extended family members and many friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Wanda Muniz and brother in law John Dugan
