Thomaston

THOMASTON - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Michael Joseph Grosso Jr., age 55, share the news of his tragic passing due to injuries sustained in an accident on Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Heather (Strobel) Grosso, whom he had been married to for 28 wonderful years.

Michael was born on April 07, 1970, in Waterbury, CT, the son of Michael J. Grosso Sr. and the late Elaine A. (Petrucci) Grosso. He attended local schools and went on to work as a mechanic for 30 years at Total Auto, Quiet Zone, and other various auto shops. Michael found joy in the great outdoors—whether it was hunting in the crisp autumn air or fishing under the warm sun, he thrived while surrounded by nature. He shared his adventures with his beloved dogs, Bear and Bell, who were always by his side, bringing him immense joy. Michael was also known for his culinary talents, especially his famous lasagna, which was a staple at family gatherings. Michael's greatest pleasure came from being with family and friends.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, beside his loving wife Heather, are his children, Alyssa, Tyler, Kaylee, and Shelby. He also leaves his two sisters, Lisa (Tim) Bosker, Nicole (Tony Scafe) Grosso , his nieces and nephews; Scott Grosso, Stephanie Ferraro, Collin Murphy, Bianca Grosso, Brianna Grosso, Halle Strobel, along with extended family and friends.
