DERBY - Martin McCulloch, age 27 of Derby, formerly of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly at Griffin Hospital on February 5, 2022. He was the beloved fiancé of Shakya Brown.
Martin was born March 13, 1994, in Waterbury the son of Ruth Butkevich. He attended school in Watertown and Southington and was an avid gamer, who loved to spend time fishing, and cooking. He enjoyed watching football, as he was an avid NY Jets fan. Martin was quick witted, who loved his family and always enjoyed making others laugh. He will be missed by everyone and never forgotten.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his loving fiancé, he leaves his daughters; Rylee Brown and Mia McCulloch, his mother, Ruth Butkevich, his sister Michelle and husband, Josh Rivera, his sister Shelly Butkevich, his brother, Michael and his wife, Meghan Butkevich, nephews; Joshua and Ethan Rivera, along with cousins, extended family and friends.
A Memorial Gathering for Martin will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 7:00 till 8:00 p.m. at O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville, CT 06779. We remain very concerned about the pandemic so masks must be always worn, while inside whether you are vaccinated or not.
