Russellville, TN - Mario Joseph Recchioni, age 69, of Tennessee formerly of Waterbury passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 11th, 2022, in Russellville, TN. He was the beloved husband of Darlene Wright-Recchioni.
Mario was born July 4, 1953, in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Ugo and Josephine Recchioni. Mario had a career in Management most of his life. His final position was CFO of his trucking company Wright-Whay Transportation. Mario enjoyed watching sports and was always happiest while spending time with his family, especially while swimming with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory along with his wife, Darlene, of 23 years, he leaves his brother: Joseph Recchioni, and his wife, Debbie of Waterbury, CT, his children, Cherie Lawrence of Centerville, MD, Tanisha Talley of Newport, TN, Harry Talley and his wife, Krissy of Madison, WI, Joseph Tally and his wife, Jessica of Bangor, PA, Keyona Talley, of Glen Burnie, MD; Todd Talley and his wife Mayra of Marysville, WA; Dalton Talley and his wife Kausha of Newport News, VA, Sherita Ellison of Washington, DC, Calvin Whaley Jr. of Russellville, TN; three grandchildren which he was raising: Naomi Wright, Norma Wright, and Nicholas Talley, all of Russellville, TN, 17 grandchildren; his nieces, Alicia, and Erica Recchioni and nephew Tyler Recchioni, Great niece Ava Portalatin, as well as his close friend Calvin Whaley Sr. of Russellville, TN; and many extended family members and friends.
A memorial service in memory of Mario will be held on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 at 11:00 am at Saint Francis Xavier Church 625 Baldwin Street Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family. There are no calling hours.
