Marilyn Toro of Waterbury, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in San Germán, Puerto Rico, on November 19, 1962, Marilyn was the daughter of Tomas Ayala and Maria Ayala and the third of eight siblings.

Marilyn enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 44 years with her husband, Luis Toro. She was the devoted mother of four children and the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren. Marilyn was a joyful person who brought warmth and laughter wherever she went and was often the life of the party. She loved the outdoors and could frequently be found enjoying the sunshine and gentle breeze around her home.

She was her husband's biggest supporter, especially when it came to the pigeons he raised, often spending hours watching them fly together during races. Marilyn also cherished cooking with her family and took great pride in caring for and providing for those she loved. She especially enjoyed spending time with her son, sharing conversations late into the night.

Marilyn is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Luis Toro her children, Jessica Luna, Katherine Smith, Jennifer Toro, and Joshua Toro and her grandchildren, Madison, Jaden, Allison, Alyssa, Bryanna, Andrew, and Elianna. She is also survived by her siblings, Marisol, Tomas, Luz Belinda, Virgen Guadalupe, and Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Maria Ayala, and her siblings, Watemox and Marybel.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Toro will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 12:00 noon at Casey- O’Neill Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 742 Main St, Oakville, CT 06779. Burial will follow at New Pinegrove Cemetery in Waterbury. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Marilyn’s family on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 am until the service starts at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
