WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Marianne Regan, age 76, of Waterbury, share the news of her peaceful passing on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She leaves behind her long-time partner, Kenny Antonicci, who cherished her deeply.
Marianne was born on November 3, 1948, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the beloved daughter of the late John Regan and Ola (Ferguson) Regan. She was a proud graduate of Wolcott High School and dedicated her life to caring for others. With unwavering commitment, she began her career as a nurse’s aide, eventually becoming a compassionate Patient Care Assistant (PCA). Known for her exceptional patience and understanding, she was often described as a “geriatric whisperer,” as she was deeply devoted to her clients, going above and beyond to ensure their comfort and well-being. When Marianne wasn’t going the extra mile for her clients, she loved crocheting, solving crosswords, traveling, cooking, gardening, planting and embracing her faith. She loved dancing and was often the life of the party, reminding all who knew her of the joy in celebrating each moment. Marianne was a protective mom and always put her loved ones first doing everything in her power to support her children. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Besides her long-time partner of 10+ years, Kenny, left to honor and cherish her memories are her children; Sheri Lee and her husband Jeffrey of Waterbury, Chester D’Aniello Jr. and his wife Amanda of Bristol, Amy D’Aniello and her fiancé Sammy D’Amelio of Fort Lauderdale, Fl and Emily Regan of Waterbury, her grandchildren; Pilar, Angelica, Sophia, Dominic, MaKayla, TaLeeha, Kyle, Zoey and Ace and her great- grandchildren; Emerie, Ava, Emma and Otto. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and friends.
