Margaret
Casey-Faust
Jun 24, 1961 — Oct 5, 2026
Wolcott
WOLCOTT- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mrs. Margaret Casey-Faust, age 65, say farewell for now to our beloved wife, mother, noni and friend, who passed away at Vitas Inpatient Unit of St Mary’s Hospital on Monday, October 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Charles W. Faust Sr.
Margaret was born on June 24, 1961, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the daughter of the late James M. Casey and Shirley (Guerrera) Vogt. She spent her younger years in the Watertown and Oakville areas, ultimately making her home in Waterbury and Wolcott. Her life was a testament to her dedication and compassion to the people she loved, especially to her husband and her children. From working in various administrative positions and various restaurants to running her own business, she pursued numerous ventures with enthusiasm. However, it was her role as a caregiver that truly defined her spirit. She provided exceptional care to her father, grandmother, and aunt as she was very committed to those in need. Beyond her professional life, she was very involved with her community as a board member on the Waterbury Neighborhood Council for a number of years. She also participated in working closely with other neighborhood organizations throughout the city of Waterbury.
She enjoyed her weekly, and sometimes daily, shopping trips to Costco and also loved going out to lunch, and gardening. Margaret was an animal lover and had many pets whom she showered with love over her lifetime and currently enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Buster and Bear, and cats, Sam and Emmett.
Margaret was indomitable, and had a fierce and unwavering spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will forever remain in the hearts of those she knew and loved. In this time of grief, we encourage all who knew Margaret to remember her spirit and the love she shared. May her memory be a blessing and live on in our hearts forever.
Besides her loving husband, Charles, of 26 years, left to cherish and honor her memory are her children: Nina Maldonado and her husband David of Oakville, Nicole Giustiniani of Bristol and Brian Faust of Wolcott and her grandchildren: Jocelyn, Mikaila, Kayden and Ezekiel. She also leaves behind many extended family members and lifelong friends.
All services for Mrs. Casey- Faust will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705 has been honored to care for Margaret and her family during this difficult time.
