OAKVILLE - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Marcia (Barbieri) Christopher, age 83, of Oakville, share the news of her peaceful passing on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Martin J. Christopher Jr.

Marcia was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on June 25th, 1941, the daughter of the late Marzy C. and Clara (Jagun) Barbieri. She graduated from Wilby High school and worked for many years as a Payroll Specialist for the Town of Watertown, Board of Education. At the young age of 21, Marcia married the love of her life, Martin J. Christopher Jr., and together they built a beautiful family and life in Oakville . Her zest for life was evident in her love of travel, as she delighted in collecting postcards from every place she visited as well as in her joy for cooking, especially during Sunday gatherings centered around her famous meatballs and pasta. Known for her thoughtful gift-giving, Marcia was a woman of strength, grace, and quiet determination. She always knew what she wanted, both for herself and for those she loved. Marcia cherished time spent with family and found true happiness in their company. Marcia lived a life as bold and vibrant as her spirit and she leaves behind a legacy of love and unforgettable memories. Her life was a rich tapestry of accomplishments centered around her love of family. Rest in peace Marcia as your legacy of love and you spirit will endure forever.

Left to honor and cherish her memories are her children; her daughter Sue and her favorite son- in-law, Phil Ercoli of Watertown, who were her caregivers and son Marcy Christopher and his wife, Laurie of Terryville, her grandchildren; Jasmine, Amber, and Olivia, and her great- grandsons; Anthony and Leo. She leaves behind several step- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many extended family members and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Sandy Russolillo and her brother in laws; Chuck Russolillo and Dom Christopher.
