WATERBURY — It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ms. Mamie R. Parker shares the news of her peaceful passing on Wednesday, August 11, 2026, in the blessed comfort of her home, surrounded by the precious love of her family.

Mamie was born on October 9, 1958, in Waterbury, the beloved daughter of the late Joan (Robinson) and Robert L. Parker Sr. Mamie attended local schools and graduated from Wilby High School in June of 1976. She would go on to pursue a career in hotel and restaurant management. Her career led her to work at various hotels throughout Connecticut. As she neared retirement, she would move on to work in food service at the local grammar schools in Waterbury. Mamie took great pride in both her work and her family. She cherished every blessed moment spent with her loved ones. Mamie will forever be remembered for her loving, generous soul.

Left to honor her memory and cherish her legacy are her son, Ronald Parker of Waterbury, her siblings; James A. Robinson of Hamden, Gwendolyn Parker of Waterbury, Michelle Pulliam of Daren, Hattie Parker Wilson of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Joanne Parker of Waterbury, Roslind Payne of Waterbury, Clarence Payne of Waterbury, Robert L. Parker Jr of Waterbury, Eldee Henry of Waterbury, and Randy Parker of Waterbury. Mamie also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides her parents, Mamie was predeceased by her son, Damien LaRon Jones, her brother John A. Parker, and her sister Diane Robinson.

Funeral services for Ms. Parker will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Mamie’s family from 10:00 a.m. until the service commences at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
