WATERBURY, CT – Mrs. Louise (Lombardo) Lynch, a native and lifelong resident of the City of Waterbury, Connecticut, died on Sunday evening, January 29, 2023, at 84 years of age. She was the wife of Bernard M. Lynch, Sr., wed in 1959 at Waterbury’s Sacred Heart Church.

Louise was born on July 25, 1938, the second of three children of the late Louise (Ditoto) Lombardo (1911-1991) of Waterbury and James Lombardo (1908-1985) of Mechanicville, New York. She was a 1952 graduate of Sacred Heart Elementary School and a 1956 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. Just days before passing, after receiving the Sacrament of Last Rites, she said, “I just wanted to be a good wife, a good mother, and a good friend.”

Louise was predeceased by her elder sister, Ann (Lombardo) Brandmeyer (1935-2012), as well as her youngest daughter, Maureen Ann (Lynch) Dion (1963-2016) and eldest son, Bernard M. Lynch, Jr. (1960-2017). She is survived by one sister, Dolores (Lombardo) White of Waterbury; three children, Louise E. Lynch of Cheshire, Daniel M. Lynch of Waterbury, and Steven M. Lynch (and wife Jennifer) of Granby; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Dion) Lenzi (and husband John) of Warwick RI, Hannah Wells Lynch of Boston, MA, Kaylyn (Dion) Brassil (and husband Timothy) of Warwick RI, Eliza Catherine Lynch of Atlanta, GA, and Declan Robert Lynch and Nathan Patrick Lynch, both of Granby, CT. She also leaves three great grandchildren, Olivia Lenzi, Benjamin Brassil, and Connor Lenzi, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and their families, and many cherished friends.
