Lorraine Ann
Fecteau
Apr 13, 1936 — Aug 9, 2026
WATERBURY — It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mrs. Lorraine Ann (Hayes) Fecteau shares the news of her peaceful passing on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Autumn Lakes at Bucks Hill. She was the beloved widow of Mr. Alfred C. Fecteau.
Lorraine was born on April 13, 1936, in Waterbury, the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Ann (Shea) Hayes. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother, finding boundless joy in her grandchildren, whose laughter and accomplishments brought her great happiness. In her leisure time, Lorraine found joy in the simple pleasures of life: indulging in the thrill of the casino, where she loved to play the slots; listening to the smooth melodies of Johnny Mathis; eagerly accompanying her children to Red Sox games in Boston; and delighting in the warmth of her family's company. She was captivated by true crime television, often glued to shows like SVU and CSI, and she found solace in word puzzles and fragrant escapades at Yankee Candle, reveling in the myriad of scents. Shopping was another of her favorite pastimes, where she thrived in the hunt for the perfect treasures. Lorraine's warmth and compassion touched the lives of many, and her legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with family and friends.
Left to honor her memory and cherish her legacy are her children; David Fecteau and his wife Carla of Wolcott, Stephen M. Fecteau and his wife Sarah of Goshen, John Fecteau and his wife Shelley of New Hartford, and Elizabeth “Beth” Normand and her husband Paul of Waterbury, her grandchildren, DeAnna Inkster and her husband Sean, Madison Rosko and her husband Jacob, Megan Fecteau, Ethan Fecteau, Alexander Fecteau and his wife Emma, Aiden Fecteau, Eugene Normand, Ian Normand, and Andrew Normand, as well as her great-grandchildren Brayden Inkster and Bella Inkster. Lorraine also leaves behind many beloved extended family members and friends. Beside her parents and husband, Lorraine was predeceased by her son, Philip Fecteau.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fecteau will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705 has been honored to care for Lorraine and her family during this difficult time.
