WATERBURY — It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ms. Lorna (Brown) Anderson share the news of her peaceful passing on Tuesday, July 15, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the blessed love and care of her family.

Lorna was born on May 16, 1944, in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica, the cherished daughter of the late Lorenzo and Ercella (Foster) Brown. Lorna’s faith was the cornerstone of her life; she found strength and solace in her prayers and devoutly read her Bible. Her love for family was immeasurable, cherishing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A woman of simple pleasures, Lorna enjoyed immersing herself in puzzles, particularly word-finds, and relished watching her favorite television shows, including; Judge Judy, Praise and Worship, Wife Swap, and Murder She Wrote. Known for her infectious happiness and love for dance, she brightened the lives of those around her. Lorna will be remembered for her unwavering love, warmth, and the countless ways she enriched the lives of her family and friends.

Left to honor her memory and cherish her legacy are her daughters; Kelio Walker of Waterbury, and Charmy Anderson of Waterbury, her brother, Radcliffe Brown of Florida, her sisters; Hilry and Cher of Jamaica, her grandkids; Christopher, Chrishawn, Kalea, Kaheim, Chanel, and Camron, and her great-grandkids; Amavi, Dream, and Amia. Lorna also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. Beside her parents, Lorna was predeceased by her three sisters, Panzy, Lilian, and Joan.

Funeral services for Ms. Anderson will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with Lorna’s family from 9:00 a.m. until the service commences at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
