Waterbury

WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Lonnie Pridgen, age 59, of Waterbury, share the news of his unexpected passing on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

Lonnie was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on January 29, 1966, the son of the late Lionel Parker and Leola Covington. He spent his early years in North Carolina before moving to Connecticut at the age of seven. He was a vibrant spirit, always wearing a warm smile that would light up any room he entered. For most of his adult life, he dedicated himself to the food service industry as a cook and embraced the roles of carpenter and landscaper. Despite the hardships he faced, he remained supportive of his family and friends. He held deep faith in the Lord and was a devoted sports fan. His greatest joy came from the time spent with his loving family. Lonnie will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his sisters; Teresa L. Smith of Roswell, GA and LaChandra Peeples of Waxhaw, NC, his nieces and nephews; Michael, Joshua, Thomas, Raven, Jaedah and Terrance Jr. He also leaves behind many cousins and other extended family members and many dear friends.
