WATERBURY - Linda Labonty age 70, of Waterbury passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Saint Mary's Hospital. She was the wife of David Labonty.
Linda was born in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mary E. (Byrne) Brennan. Linda was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School and spent many years working alongside her husband at their business, "Truck World" in Wolcott. Linda enjoyed cooking, arts & crafts and was always looking for a good bargain while out gallivanting and shopping at antique stores and tag sales. Linda was proud of her Irish heritage and was a mentor and friend to many.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, besides her husband of 49 years, David are her children, son Tommy Labonty of Waterbury, daughter, Mary-Lynn Labonty (Eric Marchant) of Wolcott, her brother, Robert E. Brennan Jr. and his wife Rosemary of South Carolina, her brother William L. Brennan, her niece and nephew. Predeceased by her beloved fur babies Casey & Riley.
Funeral services for Mrs. Labonty will be held of Friday, March 25th 2022 at 10:30 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT to Mary Mother of the Church Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church when a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the Labonty family at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until leaving for the services at 10:30 a.m. Memories endure only if you share them, so you are encouraged to leave a condolence, personal memory, or words of comfort with the Labonty family on Linda's tribute page at www.eastsidememorial.com
