WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Kimberly Ann
(Baker) Jacovich age 67 of Waterbury share the news of her unexpected passing on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Paul Jacovich.
Kimberly was born on May 8, 1958 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Ronald and Mary (Conroy)Baker. Kimberly was educated in local schools, graduated from Holy Cross High School, and received her associates degree from Mattatuck Community College before furthering her studies at Southern CT State University. She worked for several years as the Credit Manager at ITW Waterbury Buckle. Kimberly left the workforce to care for her family, specifically her nieces and nephews, and then had her own children who she raised with great care and love. She took immense pride in all of their accomplishments, knowing she played a unique and important role in their paths to adulthood. A generous soul, Kim was always willing to share and give back. Her sharp sense of humor made her beloved by so many. She was the one Baker girl who could take the ever-present, good-natured ribbing better than most. In addition to lovingly caring for and raising her children, she enjoyed volunteering at their school and was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of publishing her novel: The Proper Order of Seasons. She had recently begun working on a sequel—a story that now will remain unfinished but forever a testament to her creativity and determination. She was also a master of décor with a gift for making any space warm and inviting. She took great joy in decorating her home and was always willing to share her talents, which were even featured in Country Sampler Holiday Homes and Pier 1. As a family, we would like to thank you, Kim, for every prayer you uttered for us, the many sacrifices you made for us, the thousands of hugs you shared with us, and the unending love you instilled in all of us.
Left to honor her memory alongside her husband of 33 years are her children, Mackenna Jane Jacovich LCSW and Dr. Taylor Evan Jacovich and his wife Lauren Bly; her beloved sisters, MaryBeth Gallo and her husband Louis, Kathleen Breidenbach and her husband James, and Rhonda Nonamaker and her husband Robert; her nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn (Edward) Nevins, Dr. William Gallo, Jonathon Gallo,Meghan (Dylan) Palluzzi, Jamie Breidenbach, Elizabeth Nonamaker and her partner Niko Kerr, Jesse Breidenbach, Marissa Jacovich, and Stanley Ochwat.
