Mr. Kenneth J. Dubauskas

September 10, 1930 — February 8, 2024

Devoted to his family, his friends and his faith

OAKVILLE - It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we, the family of Kenneth Joseph Dubauskas, share that he passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at the blessed age of 93. He was the devoted husband of Angela Valente Dubauskas.

Ken was born on September 30, 1930, the son of the late Helen and Charles Dubauskas. He was born and raised in Waterbury, CT, where he met Angela Valente, his wife of 70 years. They resided in Waterbury until 1968, then in Oakville for over 50 years. Ken graduated from Leavenworth High School, attended UCONN Pharmacy School for two years, then left to serve his country. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, stationed at Sampson Air Force Base in New York. After serving his country, Ken began his forty-five-year career at SNET, later known as AT&T. Ken started out as a Lineman and retired as an Area Manager of Installation and Repair. Throughout his life he enjoyed sports, particularly baseball and basketball. Whether he played, coached or was a fan in the stands, Ken loved the game. Tri-State Trojans were his favorite, because his grandsons played on the team. They could always count on their number one fan! Ken also followed Boston Red Sox and UCONN Men and Women games. Ken was an avid golfer. During his retirement, he played at Western Hills and Crestbrook Club courses and took great pride in teaching his grandsons how to golf. Ken was very invested in his community. As a dedicated member of St. Mary Magdalen Church, in Oakville, he served on the Board for the Church and School and participated in many other activities. Ken and Angela co -chaired the Engaged Couples program for over 30 years. They were the perfect role models. Ken was also a member of the American Legion Post 195. During his retirement, Ken and Angela enjoyed traveling with their dearest friends to places like Bermuda, Florida, Italy, Ireland and Greece. His favorite summer vacation was to Cape Cod with family. We have such fond memories spending summers there.

Family was everything to Ken. His legacy lives on with each member of our immediate and extended family. He was a wonderful husband, provider, father and grandfather. He was always there for us if we needed sound advice or endless support. Our father was our hero, a true role model for all.

Ken will be forever loved and missed by his surviving family; wife Angela and four children. His son, Stephen Dubauskas (wife Johanna) of Oakville. Daughters; Cathy McDonald (husband Steven) of Litchfield, Dana Barr (husband Mark) of Massachusetts and Alison Kamuda (husband Jeff) of Massachusetts. He was predeceased by his beloved son Robert, who passed away in 2019, and two brothers: Charles and Richard. Ken and Angela were blessed with nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who love and respect our family hero.
