WATERBURY - It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Keith F. Hicks, age 49, of Waterbury, shares the news of his unexpected passing on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston MA.

Keith was born on May 17, 1976, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of Claudette Hicks and the late Otis Williams. Keith attended Wilby High School and was a proud graduate of the class of 1994. A dedicated pressman at the Republican American and later a Program Manager at Marrakech in Waterbury, Keith proved to have a strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to his craft. His colleagues respected him not only for his professional skills but also for his kindness and compassion. He had a passion for playing cards, enjoyed watching football games, and was an avid fan of Marvel movies. Most of all, he loved attending his children’s sporting events—proudly attending everything from powder puff football to basketball, volleyball, rugby, and cheerleading. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.

Left to honor and cherish his memory are his beloved mother, Claudette Hicks of Waterbury, his children; Monica Hicks, Javon Hicks, Madison Hicks of Southington and, Keith Hicks Jr. and Taji Hicks, of Waterbury, his siblings; James Hicks Sr. (Nicole) of Kannapolis, NC and Brian Hicks (Mariah) of Waterbury, and his aunts Rose Boyd (Craig) and Delphine Rountree of Waterbury and Thalia Hicks, of Elizabeth City, NC. Keith also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Keith was predeceased by his father, Otis Williams, as well as his son, Mason Hicks.

Memorial Services for Mr. Hicks will be held on Monday, April 27th, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and visit with his family on Monday morning from 11:00 a.m. and are welcome to remain for the memorial service, which will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
