“Proud Mother of two great men”


SOUTHINGTON – Justine A Tomasiewicz, age 72 passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on November 22, 2023.

Justine was born on April 5, 1951 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late John J. and Patricia Ann (Roberts) Tomasiewicz. She graduated from St Francis Xavier Grammer School and Sacred Heart High School in the Class of 1969. She very much enjoyed being a long-time member of the Bell choir of Saint Peter and Paul Church. Justine was a meticulous and talented quilter. She enjoyed making quilts for those in need through quilts with care and with her sister in law and Annie and friends Shelly, Sue and the girls. She had a lot of fun with her friends, the martini girls and enjoyed her years spent in Sebastian Florida. Justine worked for many years at St Marys Hospital as an administrative assistant to the physician and nursing directors of the Emergency Department. Most of all Justine worked hard to raise her two sons of whom she was enormously proud of.. She was a loud and proud fan of her children from US Marines to sports. Justine loved spending time with her grandchildren and she will be deeply missed but her warmth, kindness and generosity will be forever remembered by all who were blessed to know and love her. May her soul rest in eternal peace.

Left to honor her memory are is her son Jason and his wife, Judy of Webster MA and her grandchildren; JJ, Jade and Jonah Stien. She also leaves her siblings; John Tomasiewicz, Ed Tomasiewicz, William and Rita Tomasiewicz, Jean and James Benjamin. many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. Justine was predeceased by her son, Jeffrey Stien USMC in August of 2020, brothers; Thomas, James, nephew, Jay Michael, Benjamin and niece, Antonia .

Funeral Services for Justine will be held privately at the convenience of her family.
