WATERBURY – Mr. Juan Otano, age 72, of Waterbury, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the Vitas Inpatient Unit of St. Marys Hospital. He was the husband of Miriam (Maldonado) Otano.
Mr. Otano was born on January 17, 1950, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Raul and Carmen (Padua) Otano.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his children, Lisa and her husband Luis Rosario, of Waterbury, and John Otano; his brothers; Raul Otano of Southington, Angelo Otano and Nelson Otano both of Bristol, Elizer Otano and Wilbur Otano, both of New Britain; sisters, Minerva Pagan of Plainville and Sonia DiDonato of New Hampshire. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Luis Rosario of California who is currently deployed serving our country in the United States Navy, Alex Rosario, Alexis Otano both of Waterbury and Jenna Otano of Tennessee and 1 greatgrandson, Liam Rosario. Juan was predeceased by his brothers Robert, Fernando and Jose as well as his sisters Theresita and Vivian Otano.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Otano will be held at the House of Prayer at 1245 Thomaston Ave. Waterbury at a date and time to be determined.
