Loving Son, Brother, Uncle, and Grandson
WATERBURY – Joshua K. Santiago-Rodriguez, age 20, of Waterbury, our beloved Josh, left the earth to be with the Lord just shy of his 21st birthday, on Friday, October 28, 2022.
Josh was born November 1, 2001 in Danbury, CT, the son of Jannette Rodriguez and Carlos A. Santiago Jr. Josh was an intelligent, kind, fun-loving soul. He enjoyed nature and dreamed of living in his favorite place, Vermont. Josh loved dancing, spending quality time with his family, and having fun nights with his friends. He graduated from Kennedy High School, class of 2019. He was in the process of pursuing college while taking care of his grandmother “Abue,” Ana Betancourt, who was one of his favorite people. Josh also took great pride in being an active uncle to his niece, Yazmin and his two nephews, Romeo and Nico.
Left to honor his memory and cherish his legacy along with his previously mentioned family, he leaves his loving sisters, Jannette M. Santiago and Karla M. Santiago and his brother, Carlos A. Santiago III. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Carlos and Ana Santiago, his step-father, Jean C. Candelaria, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Santiago-Rodriguez will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 11:00am at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, Ct 06705. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Josh’s family on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home To honor Josh’s memory those that are attending are asked to wear his favorite color “Olive Green”.
