WATERBURY- It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Joseph Samuels Walters, age 67, of Waterbury, say farewell for now, to our beloved husband, father, and grandfather following his peaceful passing on Thursday, August 6, 2026 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Yvonne (Samuels) Walters.

Joseph was born on October 7, 1958, in St. Mary Parish, Jamaica, the beloved son of the late Florence Minott. He lived in Jamaica and raised his loving family and proudly worked as a HVAC refrigeration repairman. He immigrated to the United States in 2015, and relocated to Waterbury, Connecticut. He continued his dedicated work at Home Depot. He was a man filled with joy and a passion for life, often enjoying moments out with his family, especially at the beach. Joseph loved to dance and he was always there for his family with anything they needed. He will be missed dearly but will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege to know and love him.

Besides his loving wife of 44 years, Yvonne, left to cherish and honor his memory are his beloved daughters: Diana Walters, Joe-Ann Walters, Racquel Walters and Candice Walters, and his grandchildren: Asia- Skye, Jhavea and Jayron. He also leaves behind 4 brothers, 1 sister, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members and beloved friends. He was predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Mimi and his parents-in-law: Adassa and Fitzroy.

Relatives and friends are invited to Mr. Joseph Walters viewing and funeral service to pay their respects and visit with Joseph’s family from 12:30 p.m. until the service commences at 2:00 p.m. This will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Care 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
