Mr. Joseph S. Alberto

WINSTED - It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family of Joseph S. Alberto, age 46, of Winsted, share the news of his peaceful passing at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

Joseph was born on November 27, 1978, in Waterbury, Connecticut, the son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Hallaway) Alberto. He was a graduate of Crosby High School, and went on to work as an electrician for many years. Joseph enjoyed the outdoors and simplicity of life from campfires to fishing, but what he loved the most was spending time with his family and friends. Though Joseph may have departed from this world all too soon, his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Joseph was very blessed to share much love and great times with his nieces. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, and devotion will remain a guiding light for all who had the privilege to know and love him.

Left to honor Joseph’s life and cherish his memory are his siblings, Jaime (Craig) Veary of Waterbury, Joanne (Bill) Hammac of Naugatuck, Paul Alberto of Wolcott, and Robert Alberto of Winsted. Joseph was very blessed share much love and great times with his nieces; Desirae Veary, Samantha Veary, Emma Alberto, and Ella Hammac. He also leaves other extended family and many friends.
