WATERBURY -It is with heavy hearts that the family of John J. D'Amico, age 60, shares the news of his departure from this world into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on June 7, 2025. John was a devoted minister, a cherished friend, and the loving husband of Danielle (Rogers) D'Amico.
John was born on September 10, 1964, in New Milford, Connecticut, son of the late Thomas F. and Dorothy (Cooke) D'Amico. John spent his early years in the Hamden and Cheshire areas, cultivating a profound love for his faith and family that would guide him throughout his life. As a self-employed general contractor, John dedicated himself to home improvement and remodeling, taking pride in his craft and the satisfied reaction from the families he served. His work was not merely a job, but an extension of his commitment to helping others. John enjoyed spending quality time with friends and family, especially fishing trips with his son Jeyson. John's heart was rooted in his faith as he was a minister at the House of Prayer Church and one of the co-founders and Pastor of Feed Me Ministries, where he passionately ministered to those in need, sharing the love of God with all those he encountered. John will be fondly remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather, whose unwavering support and devotion to family was a testament to their deep bonds. He leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and generosity that will continue to inspire all those who knew and loved him. May his soul now find everlasting peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all. As we remember John, we will undoubtedly think of his fondness for Cumberland Farms coffee, as he often left a trail of empty cups behind, a symbol of his zest for life and the joy he found in everyday moments. He would minister his life testimony anywhere he went and show the love of Jesus to everyone. He left an imprint on many lives and will be remembered for preaching the gospel of Jesus, his love for his beloved wife, and his love for his Johnny lasagna.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy, besides his wife, Danielle, of 3 years, is his son, Jeyson D'Amico. As well as his step-children, Alicia Pagan, Ismael Pagan, and Mykaila Garcia, all of Waterbury. He also leaves his grandchildren, Kailani Pagan and Khyrie Bonvillian, in addition to his brother, Thomas D'Amico and his wife, Teresa of Wolcott, and his sister, Donna D'Amico-Buonocore of Oakville. He was preceded by his sister, Cynthia Casanova. Also many nieces and nephews and many friends.
