WATERBURY - Joanne (DiLeo) Farino age 78 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 6, 2022 at the Village at East Farms, the place that she considered her second home. She was the devoted wife of Richard “Harvey” Farino.
Joanne was born December 3, 1943 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Biancardi) DiLeo. She was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School educated in local schools and worked for many years as an Administrative Assistant. A woman of great strength and conviction Joanne’s lovely disposition and enduring smile in spite of her major health challenges, never complaining, made her an inspiration for all. Joanne will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory besides her husband of 57 years are her daughter, Lisa Farino and her husband Peter Luyckx of Montpelier VT, her grandson, Anthony Farino and her devoted sisters; Carolyn Kindt and Donna Solomon both of New Port Richy FL and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Farino will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church, 14 Bentwood Dr Waterbury CT. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Joanne’s family on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until noon at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main Street @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury.
