WATERTOWN – Joan Pleasant, age 84, of Watertown, CT, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2023, at Autumn Lakes Health Care in Norwalk after an extended illness.
Joan was born on June 23, 1938, in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Edmond and Claire (Regis) Paquette. She was raised in Waterbury, where she attended local schools and spent many years working at Allyn’s Dry Cleaning in Watertown. Joan was an avid bingo player who regularly attended bingo at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Watertown. She was a devoted animal lover and enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. Joan was a devout Christian and a stellar example of grace and class. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory, are her son, Larry Rodgers, of Watertown, with whom she made her home, and her brother, John Paquette, of Waterbury. She was predeceased by her son, James Paquette, and sister, Vivian Lafreniere.
Funeral services for Ms. Pleasant will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
